Free website snapshot

Scan a website and keep the evidence

Paste the URL of a fake shop, a phishing page, or a lookalike site. The scan stores a screenshot, the page text, and the HTML source, together with the hosting, registrar, and DNS data behind the domain. You get one permanent link you can hand to anyone.

Scans started here are public. Anyone with the link can open the snapshot, and it shows up in the archive search below. Do not scan pages behind a login or pages holding personal data.

Public scan archive

Search every public snapshot by its URL. Leave the box empty to see the newest scans.

Frequently asked questions

What does a website scan capture?
A scan stores a full-page screenshot, the readable page text, and the raw HTML source of the URL you gave it. Alongside that it records the hosting provider, the IP address, the registrar, the nameservers and the mail setup of the domain. Everything is kept under one link.
Why would I snapshot a fake shop or a phishing page?
Scam pages disappear fast, often within hours of going live. Once the page is gone, so is your proof. A snapshot keeps what the page looked like at the moment you found it, which is what a hosting provider, a registrar or a lawyer will ask for.
Are my scans private?
No. Every scan started from this page is public, and anyone who has the link can open it. Scans also show up in the search below. Do not scan pages behind a login, and do not scan anything holding personal data.
How long is a snapshot kept?
Snapshots are permanent. The link keeps working, so you can put it in a report or an abuse complaint and it still resolves months later.
Why does my scan show a capture time from before I started it?
If the same URL was scanned publicly within the last two hours, your scan reuses that capture instead of loading the page again. You still get your own permanent link, but the evidence comes from the earlier capture, so the snapshot shows when the page was actually fetched rather than when you pressed the button. The result page states that plainly and links to the scan that did the fetching.
The scan says the page was blocked. What now?
Some sites answer a capture with a bot challenge or a block page. The scan still stores what it could read about the domain, so the hosting and registrar data is there even when the screenshot is not. Try the URL again a little later, or scan a different page on the same domain.
Is the captured page safe to look at here?
Yes. The captured HTML is never executed. You see it as escaped source code in a text box, and the page text as plain markdown. Nothing from the scanned site runs in your browser.
Can I print a snapshot for a police report or an abuse complaint?
Yes. Open the snapshot and use the Print report button at the top. It prints a clean black-and-white version with the screenshot, the capture time, the hosting provider, the IP, the registrar and the nameservers, plus the permanent link so anyone reading the printout can open the original. Print to PDF if you need to attach it to an email or a filing.
Can I have a scan deleted?
Yes. Email us at [email protected] with the link or the scan ID and we will remove it. There is no self-service delete, because a snapshot that anyone could erase would be worth little as evidence. Tell us if the scan captured personal data or a page behind a login and we will treat it as urgent.

Model Context Protocol

Use it from your AI agent

The same scan runs as a free MCP server. Connect it once, then ask your agent to snapshot a page or search the public archive for you.

Server URL

https://tools.nebty-id.com/mcp
Claude
  1. Open Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Give it any name and paste the server URL above. Leave authentication empty.
  3. Add it. The scan and scans tools show up right away.

Then ask, for example: "Use scan to snapshot https://example.com and tell me who hosts it."

ChatGPT
  1. On a paid plan, open Settings, then Apps, then Advanced, and turn on Developer mode.
  2. Go to Settings, then Connectors, then Create. Paste the URL and leave authentication empty.
  3. In a chat, open the + menu, choose Developer mode, and pick the connector.
Codex
  1. Add it from the terminal, then ask Codex to use the scan tool:
codex mcp add open-services --url https://tools.nebty-id.com/mcp

Or add it to ~/.codex/config.toml:

[mcp_servers.open_services]
url = "https://tools.nebty-id.com/mcp"
